4. http://derbynewsnetwork.com/roller_derby_basics
Really great website and easy to navigate. This can give us a general idea of what the sport entails such as rules, teams, meets, etc. so we can better understand the practices and meets when we watch the Classic City Roller Girls in action. Its good for background information and it seems reputable.

5. Martin, Bob. "Roller Skating." New York, NY: A.S. Barnes and Company, 1944. This book is more about roller skating, but it goes into the specifics of how to move fluidly in skates which gave us an idea of how much work goes into just mastering the skating apsect of roller derby without even getting into the physicality or the rules of the sport. It is an old book, but much of the advice on skating is still current, and this will allow us to see if there have been any modern advances in skating technique.
